The Deductible for the Saver HSA Plan will increase in 2024. Due to cost of living adjustment rules, the IRS has increased the High Deductible Health Plan minimum annual deductible. The Out of Network Deductible will also increase to $3,200 for Employee Only coverage and $6,400 for Employee + Dependent(s) coverage.
Optional Employee Life Insurance
Monthly contributions for Optional Employee Life Insurance will increase.
If you are not actively at work as of 1/1/2024, any newly elected life insurance or increase in life insurance coverage will not become effective until you are returned from leave for at least 10 days and meet the actively at work requirements of the Life Insurance Plan. Once you have returned to work, you have 31 days to contact the MPC Benefits Service Center to request your newly elected amount be reinstated.

Contribution limits will be increasing in 2024. The annual contribution limit for the HSA for Employee Only Coverage will be $4,150 and for Employee + Dependent(s) coverage, $8,300.

New in 2024, MPC will offer a Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA). The DCFSA is administered by PayFlex and is available to all full-time/part-time, regular employees (who are not on a leave of absence). The DCFSA allows you to save pre-tax money to help pay for eligible dependent care expenses throughout the year. (The DCFSA cannot be used on medical expenses).
The maximum annual contribution if you are married filing separate is $2500 and $5000 if you are single or married filing jointly. Due to IRS regulations, if you are considered a highly compensated employee in 2023, your contribution limit will be limited. After non-discrimination testing, if it is determined that you are a highly compensated employee, your contribution will be reduced to an amount yet to be determined and you will be notified early 2024.
Eligible expenses are for services incurred between January 1, 2024 and March 15, 2025. Claims must be filed by May 31, 2025.
For more detailed information on participation regulations and the DCFSA, please review our 2024 HSA FSA Guide.
